As twilight settles, reflected sunset light fades across the shore and the first stars begin to emerge.

Fine Art Print

The Stars Came Out to Play captures Middle Beach, Putsborough, during the quiet transition from sunset into night. Shallow water reflects the remaining light across the shoreline, while gentle bands of waves and shadow lead the eye towards the distant sea.

Soft cloud formations diffuse the last light above the horizon as the sky gradually darkens and the first stars begin to appear. The monochrome image relies on subtle tonal shifts, reflected light and the natural rhythm of the tide to convey the stillness of the North Devon coast at twilight.
