An intimate moment where light, sea, and spirit converge in a fleeting expression of the universe in motion.
Fine Art Print
Leela’s Dance captures the changing evening light at Downend Point, Croyde, on the North Devon coast. Clean lines of swell move towards the shore and wrap over the reef, while warm light across the clouds gradually gives way to cooler violets and deepening blues.
The darker foreground reef anchors the composition as subtle reflections move across the sea, creating an intimate coastal scene shaped by the rhythm of the swell, fading light and approaching dusk.
Print & Finish
Paper prints are produced on heavyweight paper with a white border. The larger canvas option is stretched over a quality pine stretcher frame and finished with a protective lacquer.
Discover the Artwork
Originally painted in oils on canvas in 2025, Leela’s Dance reflects a longstanding personal connection to Downend Point and takes its title from Leela, the Sanskrit concept of divine play, expressed through the continual movement and transformation of light, sea and sky.
