Imminent Snow captures rare winter conditions at Saunton Sands, North Devon, as another snowstorm approaches from the Atlantic. Heavy clouds dominate the sky, obscuring Hartland Point and pressing low over a coastline already transformed by freezing weather.

Cool blues, muted blue-violets and softly modulated whites create a subdued winter atmosphere, while narrow openings between the clouds reveal traces of pale light. The contrast between the textured foreground and dissolving horizon reinforces the immense scale and weight of the advancing weather.
