Croyde – Distant Thunder captures the view across Croyde Bay towards the renowned Downend lefts, where clean lines of Atlantic swell peel steadily towards the reef. Bright white lines of breaking waves punctuate the distance, drawing the eye through the composition towards the horizon.

A deliberately restricted palette of deep burnt sienna gives the image its distinctive atmospheric character, while subtle tonal variation and the repeating rhythm of the distant surf convey a sense of movement and anticipation.

Print & Finish

Paper prints are produced on heavyweight paper with a white border. The canvas option is stretched over a quality pine stretcher frame and finished with a protective lacquer.
