Portrait Painting of Greek Goddess Benthesikyme in acrylic on panel by British artist Conor Wilson

Portrait Painting

In Greek mythology Benthesikyme was the daughter of Poseidon and Amphitrite. She was the goddess of the waves, an African sea Nymph some say. She is considered the first queen of Ethiopia (Aithiopia). The name means “the one who swims in the depths of the waves”. This portrait art is painted in rich, thick acrylic paint, leaving a tactile and textured surface.
