Portrait paintings are special, whether it be of a loved one or a beloved pet, they celebrate the life of the individual and capture a moment of time in a persons life. I have been commissioned to paint quite a few portraits, here you find a selection of some of them. I will usually meet with the client, and take many photographs of the subject. Then I work on the composition of the painting in order to create a draft sketch that faithfully captures the subject, then the portrait is painted. Depending on the style, and effect, that is desired I will either use airbrushing or traditional hand painting techniques to create the final artwork. Click on a thumbnail to view the painting.
